About Doxall™

Doxall™ is a range of water-based fatty acid formulations with amazing properties with many applications. Our goal is improve the way we all live and reduce exposure to toxic chemicals in households, food manufacturing, heavy industry and agriculture.  From sanitising cleaners, disinfectants, antimicrobial protective coatings and dust suppressants to cosmetic skin sanitisers and consumer products, we are still discovering new applications.  

Water-based with active ingredients found in every day foods (and sustainably sourced), the ESG profile of Doxall™ products is superb. Our patented science represents one of the biggest scientific advances in sanitising since the 1950s. A decade of research went into the creation of Doxall™ ’s patented science, which has unlocked the power of safe, natural fatty acids. 

Doxall™ is owned by the Australian Ten Carbon Chemistry Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of Wintermute Biomedical Inc, a US-based LLC and biomedical research organisation.

Doxall™ is showing great potential in important industries where unwanted microbial growth is a challenge, such as poultry farms & piggeries; waste & recycling; as well as in crop protection. Doxall™ is powered by decanoic acid: a medium chain fatty acid, a component of foods like coconut oil. Fatty acids have been long recognised for antimicrobial activity. Despite this, the use of fatty acids in sanitisers has been thwarted by their dense fatty composition. The heart of Doxall™’s innovation: we found a way to make decanoic acid water-soluble by adding another component of everyday foods, a protein building block called an amino acid. Our patented manufacturing process mimics natural processes and does not involve toxic chemical excipients or solubilisers. 

The result is range of antibacterial and antimicrobial products which are also great cleaners and offer safer and more effective antimicrobial solutions for a wide range of applications made entirely from naturally occurring ingredients! 

Driven by our research ethos to contribute to health and well-being, Doxall™ was developed as part of our mission to fight dangerous antibiotic resistant microorganisms.   

Antimicrobial Resistance, or AMR, is the term used when dangerous microorganisms become resistant to traditional antibiotic treatments. Not only can bacteria develop resistance to treatment, they can also pass on the resistance gene to other bacteria, even bacteria of different species. Microorganisms that that have developed resistance are colloquially called "superbugs". 

Each year more than 700,000 people die from drug-resistant infections, including infections acquired while in hospital. On current projections, the toll will increase to a staggering 10 million deaths a year by 2050. That would be the equivalent of 2 COVID pandemics every year. This is why the World Health Organisation has declared “AMR is one of the top 10 global public health threats facing humanity.” 

Without solutions, we face a nightmare future scenario where basic infections may again become deadly. Routine medical procedures will carry the possibility of infection with a life-threatening superbug.

 1. Does Doxall™ contain alcohol?

No, Doxall™ does not contain alcohol. But our research has confirmed that Doxall™ can be readily added to ethanol to make an even more powerful antimicrobial combination product.

2. Does Doxall™ contain a Quaternary Ammonium Compounds?

No, we proudly state Doxall™ does not contain any quaternary ammonia. Quaternary ammonium compounds, also called quats or QACs or QUATs, with the most common commercially used being benzyl ammonium chloride (BAC). There is growing evidence that too much contact with QACs may be detrimental to human health, so we think this a good thing. See a video of our founder talking about quats here.

3. Does Doxall™ contain bleach?

No, we proudly state Doxall™ does not contain bleach (sodium hypochlorite or hydrogen peroxide). Bleach can cause distressing discolouration/yellowing of surfaces, and unwanted aromas.
